Our company was founded in 1988 as a specialized manufacturer of heat-resistant protective tubes used in measuring instruments for molten steel.
As the only manufacturer of protection tubes using diatomaceous earth with super fire resistance performance in Japan, we have contributed to industrial development in Japan and overseas by stably supplying low-cost, high-quality products for more than 25 years.
Since 2008, based on the technology we have cultivated in the past, we have been working diligently to develop the general industrial paper tube and consumable thermocouple business.
The changes in the iron and steel industry are wide-ranging, including equipment, diversification of steel grades, upgrades, and cost reductions.
In order to accurately respond to these needs, we have integrated production of consumable analytical and measuring instruments, creating products that are friendly to the global environment while considering the safety of our customers.We are determined to contribute to the development of the company.

In 1988, we acquired a patent for ultra-high-temperature melting and heat-resistant protection tubes (non-splash materials) in Hito, Ueno City, Mie Prefecture, and became a manufacturer specializing in protection tubes for molten metals.

As a manufacturer of molten metal measurement and analysis equipment for steelmaking and cast steel based on our track record of protection tubes, we deliver products to domestic and overseas users as a research and development type company that proposes products according to various environments.

Masaaki Yamamoto founded Hido Kogyo, Inc. in Iga city, Mie prefecture, and started manufacturing of heat-resistant protection tube for ultra-high temperature.
Company name, 'HIDO', came from the birthplace of founding.

Succeeded the measuring instruments business from Dowa Works who had been supplying expendable thermocouples to Daido Steel group and started manufacturing of expendable immersion probes as the Hido’s own products.
